Therefore, the leadership team thrashed my manager for collecting irrelevant information and wasting everyone's time for the past week. However, my manager promised to share all the requested information in the next two days, which was a weekend and did not even bother to check my availability with short turnaround time. With no other options left, I had to work on weekends to collate the information requested by the leadership team and my manager has to follow up with all account owners. Without even getting the information from the account team, my manager started to pressurize me to share a draft version with available information and at one point I had to shout back at my manager to stop bothering me without any available information. Finally, towards the end of the day, I got some inputs from the account team and the shared information seemed too vague and irrelevant for the context. I was looped into the most irritating team to work by the manager after my long vacation and my manager shared some unnecessary inputs, which were irrelevant to the client requirements. I worked hard on collating slides as requested by my manager for the onsite team’s review and all the slides were thrown out due to conflicts in client requirements. Now, the onsite team shared new insights for the opportunity and the most frustrating part of working with this irritating onsite on this opportunity is that there will be no offshore support at any cost. This was completely deal breaker for me, as I would trust offshore counterpart to coordinate and complete the tasks assigned by onsite, and for this time, I would be completely ripped off due to my manager’s support. My manager has a habit of confusing and complicating simple things and would suggest irrelevant ideas for the opportunity and it would be thrown off by the onsite team. One additional complication in the assigned opportunity was that both the onsite team and my manager had ego issues and they would often argue on unnecessary things. Therefore, after meticulously planning with clear details of the exact roles and responsibilities of each team member for the service request, I sent out the detailed mail to the onsite team for confirmation and I have also sent a recurring meeting invite in the morning for discussions. The next day early in the morning, I woke up early and started the meeting with the hope that the onsite team had spent some time and refined the document I had shared earlier. However, to my disappointment, the onsite team had not even touched the document and was reviewing it only in the meeting and I was getting furious about their attitude. Post review comments, I made a point to the onsite team that it would be really helpful if the onsite team had spent some time before the morning discussions so that we can have fruitful discussions from both parties. I don’t know these messages would have been received by the onsite team because I conveyed it with all leadership on the call and made minutes of meetings for the same. I just got mild acknowledgment from the onsite team and later on, the leadership team was also requesting the team to word on review comments shared by the client. The early morning call got over and I was too much frustrated, as I was not at all required for the call and the expectation was detailed beforehand. I was getting ready to reach office and the nagging account personal was not even able to hold for few minutes and was calling me to check whether I have reached office or not. I was again frustrated, as I got all required information last day itself and would start working on it once I have reached office, but still these nagging account personnel were behind me for each and every update. Now, I reached office and called the delivery expert to check on the status and it hardly took few mins for me to get the expectations and was already working on it. I have finished my work earlier than my expected deadline and I don’t want to share it with the team, because they would come up with unnecessary changes and I shared the final deck only few minutes before the call. As expected the account team came up with some silly changes and these changes could have been done by themselves.
